Help with Connecting Sabertooth 2x32 to Arduino for Differential Drive Robot

Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a differential drive robot and I'm using the Sabertooth 2x32 motor driver with an Arduino Uno. I want to control two DC motors using serial commands, but I'm a bit confused about the correct wiring and configuration (DIP switches, battery connections, etc).
Could anyone provide a basic wiring diagram or a simple Arduino sketch as a starting point? Also, any tips on safely powering the system would be greatly appreciated.
